I'm Ethan, I like to talk.
I still remember walking into the glass lobby of my first AI conference—badge in hand, heart racing. I had made it. After years of grinding in the lab and behind a screen, I was finally among the top minds in the field. Nervous but proud, I was ready to share my work.
Waiting for my turn to present, I watched both expert scientists and newcomers like me present their research. I was shocked how a rare few gripped the audience’s attention, even with raw data and cold hard facts. I realized the ones who could speak well, were shaping the future of science on that stage, just as much as their months doing their research.
When it was finally my turn on stage, I was terrified. But I managed to remember my speech and did an adequate job. But for me, adequate was no longer enough.
Since that day, I’ve spent years of practice and thousands of dollars training my speaking skills, to catch up to the experts that wow’d me on that stage. I love seeing my audiences eyes light up with attention, feeling meaning and caring what comes next. I’m proud that people remember the ideas I share because of the work I put into speech mastery.
And I’ll tell you honestly, it just feels great when everything is clicking and I’m speaking well.
Since the pandemic we’ve had a fantastic leap in online teaching. Most of the best educators I know have nothing to do with a university. Some have never even attended one.
So I now spend my focus on helping online content creators master feeling confident on camera. They've had a massive impact on my life, and I'm thrilled to teach them to get their message heard, believed and remembered.
